HISTORY

Chung Architects was formed in 1995 by the founder who had worked for major practices in Hong Kong and Singapore. The partners experience encompasses a portfolio of prestigious projects ranging from Resort Hotel & Club Development, schools, condominium housing, landed housing, ferry terminal, community center and conservation projects. Chung Architects provides full scale professional services for Architectural Design, Interior Design and Development Consultancy.

PHILOSOPHY

Chung Architects believes in the development of architecture and interior that seeks the enhancement of economic value, physical and social enjoyment, aesthetical harmony, emotional and psychological well being of ALL involved. Close collaboration between clients, consultants and all project team members is the driving force to the realization of the objective.

PROFILE

From inception till 1998, Chung Architects portfolio includes projects which are mostly residential in nature. From 1998 till 2001, Chung Architects expanded its portfolio include a mix of projects which are residential and public in nature. Since 2002, Chung Architects has increasingly been servicing clients from the statutory bodies and corporate sectors, with a varied portfolio of works ranging from transportation buildings, fire station building, institutional buildings, park amenities, industrial (i.e. Monorail Station and Depot / Control building), and commercial buildings to Control Centre-cum Offices for PSA. Chung Architects’ clienteles include major statutory and corporate bodies such as Sentosa Development Corporation, Port of Singapore Authority (PSA), PSA Marine Pte Ltd, Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore, NParks, Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF), Singapore Sports Councils, JTC Corporation Pte Ltd (JTC), National Library Board (NLB), SBS, etc. STAFF

STRENGTH

Chung Architects is led by 2 partners, who are registered architects; each with a 19 year working experience. Both partners are personally involved in the day-to-day running of the firm and have full involvement in all the projects undertaken. Mr. Chung Teik Keong (registered with the Board of Architects in 1992) leads the design and project implementation, production of drawings and details while Ms. Ho Teik Gaik (registered with the Board of Architects in 1995) takes charge of liaison and consultation with Authorities, preparation of submission plans, Authorities’ requirements and compliances, inspection and obtaining TOP/CSC for the projects. Both partners are involved in project co-ordination and management. The presentation, technical and detailed drawings, visual and 3D presentations are executed with the assistance of architectural assistants/ technical specialists working under both the partners.
